Set up two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account. Even if someone knows your password, they cannot log in without the second factor.

Set up 2FA

1. Go to Settings and scroll to Two-factor authentication.
2. Click Enable 2FA.
3. Enter your current password.
4. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator).
5. Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app to confirm.
6. Click Enable 2FA.

Backup codes

After setup, you will see your backup codes. Store them somewhere safe - they let you sign in if you ever lose access to your authenticator app. Each code can only be used once.

Disable 2FA

1. Go to Settings - Two-factor authentication.
2. Click Disable 2FA.
3. Enter your password and confirm with Disable.
